Health and Safety Compliance Specialist

Ensure workplace safety as a Health and Safety Coordinator specializing in compliance and emergency preparedness. Foster a safety-first culture through effective training and proactive risk management across project sites.

This position is focused on managing the implementation of safety protocols, maintaining compliance with regulations, and mentoring employees in safe work practices. You will collaborate closely with supervisors to optimize workplace health and reporting initiatives that drive visible safety improvements. Your efforts will be critical in creating and maintaining a secure and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety policies and programs
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations
• Coordinate and deliver employee safety training
• Conduct investigations of safety incidents
• Report on safety metrics and trends

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in construction health and safety
• University degree in engineering or related field
• Familiarity with Ontario Occupational Health and Safety
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety software
