Substitute Armed School Security Officer

**Overview:** The Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District is seeking a Substitute Armed School Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of students and staff. As a Substitute Armed School Security Officer, you will be responsible for patrolling school facilities and grounds, preventing disruptive or illegal actions, and performing other duties as assigned. **Responsibilities:**

• Ensure the safety and security of students and staff
• Patrol school facilities and grounds to prevent disruptive or illegal actions, access to restricted areas, and theft or vandalism
• Perform duties as per job description as well as any other duties assigned under the supervision of the Director of School Safety and Security, Superintendent or building Principal
• *Qualifications:**
• High School diploma or equivalent valid New Jersey driver's license
• 25 years of service in a Law Enforcement and retired in good standing
• Must hold/obtain Armed SORA Certification
• Knowledge of security measures, fire prevention and crowd control
• Ability to maintain order and to work with groups and individuals on matters of security and crisis management
• Must pass psychological testing, drug evaluation, and a criminal history background check
• Possess and maintain a valid State of New Jersey Permit to Carry a Handgun
