The Opportunity
Ongwanada is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Director, Corporate Services to lead all corporate functions, including Finance, Payroll, Information Technology, Fire & Occupational Health & Safety, Transportation & Maintenance, Passport Services, and Project Management. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Senior Director strengthens the systems, processes, and infrastructure that support high‑quality services for individuals with developmental disabilities across Eastern Ontario.

Compensation

Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, payroll, procurement, contract administration, and audit preparation.
- Ensure strong internal controls, compliance with GAAP, and adherence to all regulatory, tax, and funder requirements.
- Lead development of operating and capital budgets; oversee variance reporting, reconciliations, and funder submissions (AIR, TPAR, T3010, etc.).
- Manage relationships with auditors, funders, and financial partners; ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Provide executive leadership for IT strategy, infrastructure planning, cybersecurity, and data security.
- Oversee transportation, fleet management, facilities, maintenance, and fire safety compliance.
- Ensure organizational compliance with legislation, policies, and internal control systems.
- Lead project management functions to ensure agency initiatives are resourced, aligned, and delivered on time.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including funders, auditors, insurers, and legal/tax advisors.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of managers and staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Professional accounting designation (CPA, CGA, CMA) with a minimum of 10 years of post‑designation experience.
- Master’s degree in business or related discipline (preferred).
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma and/or Project Management (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with external partners, including legal and tax advisors, funders, banks, and lenders.
- 6–8 years of progressively responsible leadership experience, ideally within the non‑profit, human services, broader public sector, or similarly complex environments.
- Experience preparing business cases, supporting service expansion, and managing external and governmental audits.
