- Serve as the primary contact during government inspections, third-party audits, and regulatory reviews.
- Maintain certification and audit readiness (e.g., COR), including closing out findings, creating corrective action plans, and preparing compliance documentation.
Safety Analytics, KPI Management & Reporting
- Direct and coach Safety Supervisors and Safety Analytics staff.
- Establish KPIs for compliance programs and track performance across all safety initiatives.
- Prepare and present safety performance reports, incident data, and leading indicators to senior leadership.
Hazard Identification & Prevention Programs
- Develop Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), safe operating procedures, emergency response plans, and plant-wide hazard recognition tools.
- Review equipment and contractor documentation for OHS content and incorporate findings into program enhancements.
Training, Engagement & Culture Building
- Design and deliver training in safety compliance, hazard recognition, emergency response, and best practices.
- Coach supervisors and production teams to reinforce high-impact safety behaviours.
- Champion a safety-first culture through consistent communication and engagement.
Incident Response & Professional Standards
- Respond to serious incidents and ensure proper investigation, documentation, and follow-up.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting systems to protect organizational interests and compliance status.

- Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety (or related field).
- CRSP designation preferred (not required).
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in safety compliance within industrial, manufacturing, or high-volume processing environments.
- Strong understanding of plant processes, equipment, and industrial operations.
