AE Environmental Consulting Corp. is a fully insured and certified hazmat consulting firm that annually conducts over 200 projects in all residential, commercial and industrial sectors. They work closely with a wide range of clients. Client groups they continue to service, include general contractors, property management firms, real estate agencies, corporations and homeowners.

  • *Position Overview**

Our established company is growing its clientele and we have an excellent opportunity for an OHS Specialist to join our team.

  • *Key Responsibilities**

This is an entry-level position that performs duties that may include any combination of the following:

  • Develop and write reports, business correspondence
  • Conduct hazardous materials surveys and assessments including bulk sampling
  • Conduct and prepare site inspection reports
  • Interpret findings and prepare technical reports
  • Provide recommendations to meet WorkSafeBC regulations
  • Provide project support for AE Enviro personnel
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • *Required Knowledge & Skills**
  • Degree, diploma or certificate in occupational health and safety or other applicable areas is an asset
  • 1-2 years working experience in hazmat assessment
  • AHERA Building Inspector certificate is an asset
  • Having a valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to freely travel to all points of the Lower Mainland in wide-ranging climates and environment as business requires
  • Ability to wear PPE such as a respirator, hard hat, gloves, eyewear without restrictions
  • Have their own CSA-approved steel-toed boots, all other PPE are provided
  • Ability to climb a ladder
  • Ability to work occasionally on weekends and evenings (project dependent)
  • Ability to work occasionally out of town on short notice
  • Positive work attitude and willingness to learn new skills
  • Superior interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to multi-task and efficiently respond to changing priorities
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking the initiative
  • Passionate about and great at building relationships with people
  • Ability to speak confidently with clients, contractors and WorkSafeBC Officers
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Suitable computer skills including proficiency in MS Office
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada

AE Environmental Consulting corp. provides competitive compensation.

  • Paid biweekly
  • Competitive wages depending on experience with the possibility of overtime and advancement
  • *Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
  • *Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
