AE Environmental Consulting Corp. is a fully insured and certified hazmat consulting firm that annually conducts over 200 projects in all residential, commercial and industrial sectors. They work closely with a wide range of clients. Client groups they continue to service, include general contractors, property management firms, real estate agencies, corporations and homeowners.
- *Position Overview**
Our established company is growing its clientele and we have an excellent opportunity for an OHS Specialist to join our team.
- *Key Responsibilities**
This is an entry-level position that performs duties that may include any combination of the following:
- Develop and write reports, business correspondence
- Conduct hazardous materials surveys and assessments including bulk sampling
- Conduct and prepare site inspection reports
- Interpret findings and prepare technical reports
- Provide recommendations to meet WorkSafeBC regulations
- Provide project support for AE Enviro personnel
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- *Required Knowledge & Skills**
- Degree, diploma or certificate in occupational health and safety or other applicable areas is an asset
- 1-2 years working experience in hazmat assessment
- AHERA Building Inspector certificate is an asset
- Having a valid Driver’s License
- Ability to freely travel to all points of the Lower Mainland in wide-ranging climates and environment as business requires
- Ability to wear PPE such as a respirator, hard hat, gloves, eyewear without restrictions
- Have their own CSA-approved steel-toed boots, all other PPE are provided
- Ability to climb a ladder
- Ability to work occasionally on weekends and evenings (project dependent)
- Ability to work occasionally out of town on short notice
- Positive work attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Superior interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
- Proven ability to multi-task and efficiently respond to changing priorities
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking the initiative
- Passionate about and great at building relationships with people
- Ability to speak confidently with clients, contractors and WorkSafeBC Officers
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Suitable computer skills including proficiency in MS Office
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- *Compensation Overview**
AE Environmental Consulting corp. provides competitive compensation.
- Paid biweekly
- Competitive wages depending on experience with the possibility of overtime and advancement
- *Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
- *Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
