Senior Safety Advisor for Central Zone

In this senior role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive safety programs aligned with government legislation and organizational policies. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the effective training of staff and the maintenance of compliance. Additionally, your expert knowledge in workplace health and safety will guide the mentoring of departmental leaders, fostering a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain a robust safety program • Collaborate with management to monitor compliance • Train capital management staff on safety tasks • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions • Represent Capital Management in provincial policy committees
Requirements: • Safety designation (CHSC, CRSP) • Five years leading safety program initiatives • Valid 5th class Alberta driver’s license • Proficient in English • Certified training in Root Cause Analysis preferred
