Overview
Infinite Consulting Corp is seeking a highly motivated Safety Area Manager to oversee safety performance across multiple active projects. This role ensures that our teams, clients, and partners operate in environments that meet the highest standards of regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and safety culture. The ideal candidate is proactive, relationship-driven, and capable of bringing creative, innovative thinking to improve how we deliver safety services.
Infinite Consulting Corp is seeking a highly motivated Safety Area Manager to oversee safety performance across multiple active projects and lead the Safety Operations Team. This role ensures that our teams, clients, and partners operate in environments that meet the highest standards of regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and safety culture.
The Safety Area Manager is both a hands-on operational leader and a people manager, responsible for overseeing day-to-day safety execution while developing, supporting, and holding accountable the Safety Operations Team. The ideal candidate is proactive, relationship-driven, and capable of bringing creative, innovative thinking to continuously improve how we deliver safety services.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Operations & Project Oversight
- Implement the quality control program and conduct regular safety audits on active projects to ensure compliance with regulatory and client requirements.
- Coordinate personnel coverage across sites, including scheduling, staffing adjustments, and ensuring appropriate field presence; fill in when needed.
- Prepare, review, and update HASP, JHA, SWP, and other safety documentation for projects, clients, and the company when requested.
- Possess and apply expertise in NYC DOB, MTA, OSHA, and all relevant federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Support incident investigations and corrective action plans.
- Identify opportunities to improve current processes, forms, documentation, and workflows, making recommendations that enhance efficiency, clarity, and safety performance.
- Collaborate with other company departments to ensure streamlined communication and smooth operational coordination between the safety team and the broader organization.
Safety Operations Team Leadership & Management
- Manage the Safety Operations Team, ensuring consistent execution of processes, procedures, and standards across all projects.
- Oversee team workflows and operations to ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with company expectations.
- Set clear annual and quarterly measurable goals for both the Safety Operations Team as a whole and individual team members.
- Actively coach and support team members in achieving their goals, removing obstacles, providing guidance, and promoting accountability.
- Support hiring needs by recommending staffing requirements and assisting with onboarding, mentoring, training, and professional development.
- Foster a strong safety culture that emphasizes ownership, consistency, communication, and continuous improvement.
Client & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a responsive partner and trusted safety resource to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage and develop strong relationships with company safety personnel to align expectations, promote consistency, and support professional growth.
- Be creative and bring innovative ideas to grow the group, strengthen safety operations, and improve reporting, communication, and execution.
Preferred Qualifications
- NYCT SM/SC Approval
- NYC DOB CS and/or SSC or SSM
- OSHA 500 certification (or ability to obtain)
- 5+ years of experience in construction, engineering, transportation, or infrastructure safety
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated interest in attending industry events, supporting company visibility, and contributing to business development initiatives
- Ability to think strategically, propose improvements, and implement new ideas across multi-site operations
- Experience working with public-sector agencies (NYC, MTA, PANYNJ, etc.) preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

The estimated salary for this position is $130K-$160K . (Salary commensurate with experience and local cost of living.)
