- *Position: Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator (Temporary)**
- *Job Type**: Temporary to Permanent
- *Anticipated Start Date**: As soon as possible
- *Experience**: Minimum 2 years preferred.

- Ensure that your effort brings value to Nossack Food Group (Nossack Fine Meats, Nossack Distribution Center & Nossack Gourmet Foods) through effectively and efficiently meeting the company’s goals in terms of conducting H&S-related tasks and activities. You are working in a service department, and you are to ensure compliance with our existing H&S policies and OHS regulations. From a communication standpoint verbally and in writing you are communicating to internal staff. In your role, you are reporting to Human Resources, the H&S Manager, and the Operations Manager.
- We are looking for people with a flexible mindset and willing to perform other tasks as assigned.
- **Starting Wage**: $25.00-$28.00 per hour.

- *Main Responsibilities**:
- Find root causes, define corrective actions.
- Conduct and review Hazard Assessments and keep all documents up to date.
- Prepare/conduct internal and external audits.
- Assist trained Lead Hands, Supervisors, and Management in Incident Investigation
- Be available for any further Health & Safety requests or projects brought forward by the Health & Safety and/or Operations Managers
- Chairperson of all monthly Health & Safety Meetings
- Complete all WCB paperwork such as Employer/Worker Reports, Physical Demands Analysis, Progressive Injury Reports, Wage Loss Forms, etc.
- Complete internal training using Health & Safety presentations.
- Advise employees on questions and concerns related to Health & Safety
- *Qualifications**:
- The Associate Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (AOHS)
- An associate-level degree program that explores the most fundamental aspects of occupational health and safety (OHS).
- *Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 32 per week
