Health and Safety Officer

The Health and Safety Officer is responsible for the health and safety of field workers and aids the company in achieving safety excellence. This individual will detect and rectify unsafe or unhealthy working conditions, and ensure compliance with law and regulations governing workplace safety.

• *PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**:

In this role, your main responsibilities will be

Steward the safety of all personnel on the job site, and immediately address risks as they arise.

Ensure all duties performed meet occupational health and safety regulations, and comply with the Pak-Aid Asphalt and Maintenance Safety Manual.

Ensure clear communication of safety roles and responsibilities for all site personnel. Provide regular and respectful feedback.

Support construction management personnel with project startup safety planning, safety reporting and structure, and constructability input centering on safe work practices.

• Two or more years of experience in occupational health and safety.
• Knowledge of WCB practices and procedures
• Knowledge of ISN, Complyworks, and Avetta
• National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification.
• Valid Class 5 or equivalent driver’s license
