Compensation: $50.00 –$55.00 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) professional to serve as the Owner’s Representative for on-site safety at Memphis International Airport. This 6-week, on-site assignment will support active construction operations and provide direct oversight of the General Contractor and trade partners to ensure alignment with owner safety expectations and regulatory requirements.
This role is best suited for a senior safety professional with 7+ years of experience representing an Owner or General Contractor, ideally with previous airport or aviation-related construction experience. The successful candidate will bring strong field presence, professionalism, and the ability to operate in a live, operational airport environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the Owner as the on-site safety authority during active construction operations
- Monitor and verify compliance with OSHA standards, airport safety rules, and project-specific requirements
- Conduct and document daily site safety inspections and observations
- Review contractor safety programs, AHAs/JHAs, and high-risk activity plans
- Oversee and support high-risk work including cranes, equipment operations, and controlled access areas
- Participate in daily coordination meetings and hazard analyses
- Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
- Serve as the primary liaison between contractors and the Owner’s safety and risk teams
- Promote a professional, proactive safety culture across all trades
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of construction safety experience representing a General Contractor or Owner
- Previous airport or aviation construction experience strongly preferred
- BCSP certification (CHST, ASP, GSP, or CSP) required
- OSHA 30 required; OSHA 510 or OSHA 500 preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, and leadership skills
- Ability to work full-time on site for the full 6-week duration
- Comfortable working in live, high-security operational environments
Preferred Experience
- Owner’s Representative or Program Safety Oversight roles
- Commercial aviation, terminal, runway, or airside construction
- Coordination with airport authorities, security, and operational stakeholders
- Digital safety reporting platforms and Microsoft Office
