Health & Safety Manager

An established manufacturing business is looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead Environmental, Health & Safety across its operations.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is critical in ensuring full EHS compliance, driving continuous improvement and embedding a strong health & safety culture within a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) across the business
• Act as the company’s Competent Person for Health & Safety
• Ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation, regulations and best practice
• Maintain ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
• Conduct risk assessments, audits and inspections
• Manage non-conformances, corrective actions and incident investigations
• Deliver structured Health & Safety training to employees and management
• Control and manage contractor safety on site
• Liaise with external bodies, regulators and auditors
• Provide clear, proactive EHS advice to senior management

The Ideal Health & Safety Manager Candidate

• NEBOSH qualified (essential)
• Proven Snr Health & Safety experience within manufacturing / production Environment
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and ISO standards
• Experience leading audits, risk assessments and compliance programmes
• Confident communicator, able to influence at all levels
• Proactive, organised and improvement-driven
