Health and Safety Officer

**About the Role**

We are seeking a qualified and motivated **Health and Safety Officer** to join our team on a **part-time or Casual basis**. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented safety professional who is passionate about fostering a culture of safety in a construction settings.

• *Key Responsibilities**:
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with OH&S regulations.
• Conduct **internal and external audits**, site inspections, and hazard assessments.
• Lead toolbox meetings, safety orientations, and incident investigations.
• **Maintain and support COR compliance**; coordinate with external safety auditors.
• Prepare and submit reports including near-misses and incident documentation.
• Track and manage training records and certifications for workers.
• Act as the primary point of contact for on-site safety concerns.
• *Required Qualifications**:
• Proven experience conducting **internal and external audits**.
• Active and current membership with the **Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA)**.
• **Minimum 2** of experience in construction, or similar industrial safety environments.
• Strong knowledge of **provincial OH&S legislation** and **COR standards**.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety reporting/documentation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
