Our client is seeking a highly experienced and meticulous Remote Senior Aviation Safety Inspector to join their dedicated team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within Canada. You will be instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of safety across all facets of aviation operations by conducting rigorous inspections, audits, and investigations. This role requires a deep understanding of aviation regulations, standards, and best practices, coupled with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to maintaining the safety integrity of the aviation industry, focusing on compliance and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive safety inspections and audits of aircraft, aviation facilities, and operational procedures to ensure compliance with national and international aviation safety regulations. Investigate incidents, accidents, and potential safety hazards, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions. Develop and implement safety management systems (SMS) and procedures. Analyze safety data to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement. Provide expert guidance and training to aviation personnel on safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Prepare detailed inspection reports, safety recommendations, and corrective action plans. Stay current with evolving aviation technologies, regulations, and safety standards. Liaise with regulatory bodies, airlines, and other aviation stakeholders to promote a culture of safety. Evaluate the effectiveness of safety management systems and operational controls. Contribute to the development and refinement of safety policies and procedures. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in aviation safety, regulatory compliance, or a related field. Extensive knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and/or international aviation standards (e.g., ICAO). Proven experience with safety management systems (SMS) and risk assessment methodologies. Strong analytical, investigative, and critical thinking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex safety issues clearly. Proficiency in using safety management software and data analysis tools. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain a high level of accuracy in a remote work environment. Relevant aviation certifications (e.g., Safety Auditor, Inspector qualifications) are highly desirable. A strong commitment to promoting and maintaining aviation safety excellence.
