Overview

You will develop and implement a comprehensive EHS management system designed to address site-specific requirements and establish a culture of EHS excellence. As Health, Safety and Environmental Manager, you will be accountable for improving the Health, Safety and Environmental performance by ensuring an exemplary health and safety culture and maintaining a strong focus on the environment. You’ll apply your in-depth HSE knowledge to offer advice, guidance, and solutions in the site’s organizational compliance with local, state, and federal environmental health and safety regulations. As a key member of the team, you’ll design, develop, implement, and monitor occupational health, industrial hygiene, and workforce safety procedures, processes, and programs in alignment with policies, instructions, and standards

Responsibilities

  • · Develop and maintain safety and environmental management system documentation, including policies, procedures, deliver training, and work instructions.

· Manage environmental programs, reporting, and permit requirements, including monthly/annual recordkeeping and relevant documentation.

· Lead in environmental permitting and other regulatory activities associated with existing infrastructure and future projects/initiatives.

· Facilitate the site incident reporting process to ensure efficient investigation (RCA), reporting, implementation of corrective actions, trend analysis, and the sharing of best practices across the organization.

· Develop and coordinates emergency response operations across the organization, including medical, chemical, evacuation and rescue, fire, and emergency response, inclusive of all relevant training.

· Lead the risk assessment program, encompassing Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) assessments, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and equipment assessments.

· Conduct internal audits and gap assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with management system standards.

· Supervise the site safety committee and contribute to the establishment of site safety goals and objectives.

· Collaborate on knowledge transfer and safety program development of future 6K Energy sites

· Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for hazardous materials used in the workplace.

· Manage Workers' Compensation claims for the site.

· Monitor changes to environmental and safety standards and ensure that 6K Energy systems are updated accordingly.

· Key member of Change Management Board as reviewer and approver of Management of Change submissions.

· Serve as the primary point of contact with Federal, State, and local agencies having jurisdiction (i.e., Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), etc.).

· Develop KPIs, and maintain a companywide EHS dashboard, with periodic reporting to the 6K executive team.

· Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or a related field in science.

· Demonstrate an impressive track record of over 5 years of professional experience including 3 years of relevant experience within a laboratory or manufacturing setting.

· Display proficiency in drafting and executing Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures

· Hazardous Waste Manifest Training per Title 49 CFR.

· Previous manufacturing involvement in an industrial context

· Familiarity with chemical reactions, processes and industrial hygiene practices

· Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH) is a plus.

· Possess OSHA 10 or 30 certification.

· Experience implementing and/or managing ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 program.

· Expertise in OSHA, DOT, EPA regulations, and safety-related federal, state, and local regulations and laws.

· Strong analytical skills to identify hazards, assess risks, and develop effective safety solutions.

· Proven experience in developing and implementing safety programs and procedures.

· Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

· Experience leading root cause analysis to determine root cause(s) and identify corrective actions.

· Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and the use of safety management software.

· Advanced knowledge of workers’ compensation regulations and best practices.

· Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook and the use of the Internet.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $150,000.00 per year
