Safety Coordinator

Formed in 1995, Arrow Construction is a full-service underground utilities construction company based in Sacramento, CA and serves northern and central California. Our services include underground utility work, vacuum excavation, asphalt/concrete restoration and traffic control services.

Arrow Construction is currently seeking a Safety Coordinator for our Sacramento office.

Job duties included but were not limited to

• Be responsible for implementing components of the safety program.
• Train personnel through materials, equipment and environments with the goal of achieving safety effectiveness throughout the company.
• Able to ensure all accidents/incidents are promptly reported and investigated.
• Able to report all training programs as appropriate.
• Keep the owner and their agents informed on all relevant issues.
• Manage and maintain safety and housekeeping procedures.
• Support the superintendents in pre-construction notifications and documentation.
• Assist with new hires' orientations and Coordinate/conduct Quarterly safety meetings.
• Collect and submit all documentation related to personal injury and property accidents.
• Maintain all records for vehicles and equipment (insurance, DMV, etc.).

Position Requirements

• 2-4 years of safety experience.
• A strong understanding of OSHA and safety regulations.
• Workers' Compensation claim management experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and conflict management skills.
• Must have the ability to interface with other Arrow Construction personnel, customers and vendors in potentially confrontational issues with diplomacy and professionalism.
