Associate Director, Environmental Health & Safety

Develop and implement company-wide environmental health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Lead and manage the Environmental Health & Safety team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure a high-performing and cohesive team.

Oversee and coordinate all environmental health and safety activities, including risk assessments, audits, and training programs.

Monitor and evaluate workplace hazards and implement corrective actions to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory changes, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Develop and manage budgets, contracts, and resources related to environmental health and safety initiatives.

Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance on environmental health and safety matters to all levels of the organization.

Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all environmental health and safety data to relevant regulatory agencies.

Foster a culture of safety and accountability throughout the organization by promoting awareness, training, and engagement initiatives.

Represent the company in meetings with government officials, industry associations, and other stakeholders to advocate for environmental health and safety initiatives.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote a collaborative and proactive approach to environmental health and safety.

Conduct investigations and root cause analysis of incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures to ensure the safety of employees and the community in the event of an emergency.

Serve as a role model and champion for environmental health and safety excellence within the organization.
