Safety Advisor for Mining Operations

Enhance health and safety standards as a Field Safety Advisor. Leverage expertise in safety systems, training, and compliance to protect workers and meet regulations in a mining environment.

This role requires developing and monitoring health and safety programs to ensure the welfare of employees and contractors at the site. You will conduct audits, respond to incidents, and assist in worker rehabilitation programs. Collaboration with the Senior Safety Advisor to evaluate regulations and implement necessary actions is key.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety systems and guidelines
• Conduct field audits and inspections for compliance
• Administer incident investigation and reporting processes
• Assist with return to work programs for injured workers
• Develop and conduct required safety training sessions

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of industrial safety experience
• National Construction Safety Officer certification required
• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act
• Strong coaching, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in both individual and team settings
