As part of the development of our activities in Sweden, we are recruiting an HSE Manager to strengthen our project team on a key infrastructure project.
YOUR FUTURE ENVIRONMENT
The Marine & Overseas Division carries out large-scale infrastructure projects internationally, including in the fields of energy, water treatment and complex structures.
The STEGRA project, located in Boden, Sweden, involves the construction of a green steelworks and an electrolysis plant powered by renewable electricity and water from the Lule River. The facility will produce 5 million tonnes of green steel per year by 2030. Eiffage is responsible for the Water Treatment Plant (WTP2) and the Hydrogen Manufacturing Plant (HMP).
You will join the project team, working closely with subcontractors, site production teams, and the project management. Your role will be critical in ensuring the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environment are maintained across all operations of this complex and high-profile project in Sweden.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
As the HSE Manager for the Stegra project in Boden, Sweden, you will be responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of the Group's and Division's HSE policy, with the following key missions:
HSE Policy Definition and Deployment
- Develop and adapt the Project Health, Safety, and Environment Quality Assurance Plan (PAQSE) specific to the Stegra project, in compliance with Swedish legislation, Eiffage Group standards, and client requirements.
- Implement HSE procedures and instructions on site for all stakeholders (own teams, subcontractors, temporary workers).
HSE Engagement and Awareness
- Lead the safety culture on the project: raise awareness, train, and inform personnel about risks and best HSE practices.
- Participate in and facilitate safety meetings (tool-box talks, safety moments).
Risk Prevention and Assessment
- Conduct systematic risk analyses (workstation analysis, professional risk assessment, environmental analysis).
- Update the project's Single Document for Risk Assessment (DUER).
- Propose and monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Control and Monitoring
- Perform regular site visits, HSE audits, and inspections to verify the application of safety instructions and environmental procedures.
- Ensure the conformity of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Collective Protective Equipment (CPE), as well as site installations.
- Monitor HSE regulatory compliance (specifically Swedish regulations) and ensure its application on the project.
Incident and Non-Conformity Management
- Record, analyze, and investigate all incidents, work accidents, occupational diseases, and dangerous situations.
- Implement immediate corrective actions and action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Manage environmental non-conformities (waste, pollution) and propose solutions.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health, Safety, Environment, Quality (e.g., QSE Master's, Engineering degree with HSE specialization).
Professional Experience
Minimum10 years of experience as an HSE Manager or Engineer on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects, ideally in an international or Nordic/Swedish context.
Familiarity with Swedish HSE standards and regulations would be a significant asset.
Fluent French and English (written and spoken) is essential.
