Fanatics## Key Role Overview
The Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Manager leads and drives site-level and multi-site safety programs to protect employees, ensure regulatory compliance, and reduce ergonomic and conditional risk. This role partners with operations, HR, and site leadership to conduct audits, investigate incidents, deliver training, and implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles. The EH&S Manager is a strategic, hands-on leader responsible for communicating safety metrics, managing corrective actions, and fostering a safety-first culture across multiple locations.
## What are the Key Responsibilities?
- Drive a multi-site safety mindset by inspiring a culture and commitment to creating a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with Fanatics safety policies and procedures.
- Influence, guide, and make recommendations to site leadership to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations; identify compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities through daily, weekly, and monthly audits.
- Recommend and develop new or updated EH&S policies, procedures, and related programs (including post-incident investigation and corrective action, audits and reporting, risk and hazard evaluations, incident and near-miss analysis, behavioral observation programs, analysis of common injuries, emergency response plans, environmental compliance, return-to-work policies, and SDS programs).
- Partner with site management across multiple locations to establish accountability and ownership for implementing EH&S policies, procedures, and program requirements and monitor progress.
- Analyze injury metrics and incident trends to prioritize resource allocation to highest-risk areas.
- Communicate consolidated EHS metrics and corrective action plans to site leadership and EH&S Director.
- Support and lead the Safety Committee and First Responder team to ensure required certifications and readiness.
- Provide and facilitate immediate aid and medical assistance for associates, visitors, vendors, or guests as needed.
- Create, develop, and conduct training on compliant work habits and present OSHA-required topics aligned to standard operating procedures.
- Customize and develop toolkits and programs adaptable for multi-location growth.
- Ensure observation of all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, standards, and codes.
- Implement and conduct EHS audits to identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in facilities.
- Ensure closure of action items from near-miss, incident, injury reviews, and EH&S audits.
- Develop hazard controls, coordinate implementation, and measure effectiveness of control systems, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments for job tasks and new equipment introductions and recommend risk mitigation measures, including ergonomic considerations.
- Lead accident and incident investigations using root cause analysis tools; compile, analyze, interpret, report findings, and track corrective actions.
- Partner with Human Resources to manage workers' compensation claims.
- Monitor and communicate state, local, and federal regulatory changes that may impact corporate strategies.
- Maintain and report daily, weekly, and monthly safety metrics for facility and network presentation.
- Serve as primary contact for governmental or outside safety inspections and represent the site in local community safety councils or committees.
## What are the Required Qualifications?
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental, ergonomics, or a related field required, or a minimum of 5+ years of work experience; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in safety and/or environmental programs within manufacturing, production, distribution, fulfillment, logistics, or service operations.
- Experience implementing lean principles and process improvements in an operational environment.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, and develop corrective actions and controls.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with comfort interfacing with site leaders.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Power. Point).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to fast-paced, changing environments.
## What are the Preferred Qualifications?
- Experience implementing robotic safety controls and programs.
- Experience managing multiple direct reports.
- Distribution, fulfillment, logistics, or manufacturing safety experience at a site with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees and at least ~250 employees preferred.
- Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
