Permit to Work (PTW) System Management

  • Inspection and authorization of Permit to Work systems including Hot Work Permits and Confined Space Permits at plants.
  • Identify gaps in PTW implementation and drive corrective actions for continuous improvement.

Plant Safety Inspections & Observations

  • Conduct routine plant safety inspections to identify and report unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and near-miss incidents.
  • Maintain records and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.

Training & Awareness Programs

  • Develop and execute the Safety & Health Training Calendar based on Training Needs Identification (TNI) and area-specific hazards.
  • Conduct on-the-job and off-the-job safety training for plant and contractor employees.
  • Deliver safety induction programs for current joiners and visitors.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and maintain documentation.

Fire Safety & Emergency Preparedness

  • Ensure proper maintenance of fire extinguishers, fire smoke detection systems, LHS cables, and sprinkler systems.
  • Organize and conduct emergency mock drills and fire drills.
  • Facilitate practical fire extinguisher training for employees.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Review and update Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA), Work Instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSR) for new installations and modifications.
  • Monitor legal compliance and maintain statutory inspection records:
  • Form 11 – Pressure Vessels
  • Form 10 – Lifting Tools & Tackles
  • Form 09 – Goods cum Passenger Lifts

Meetings & Reporting

  • Conduct monthly Safety Committee Meetings and Contractor Safety Meetings; prepare and circulate Minutes of Meeting (MoM).
  • Prepare and present monthly safety & health performance reports to site management.

Incident Management

  • Report injuries/incidents promptly and conduct root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Implement and track Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

Safety Infrastructure & Promotion

  • Maintain first aid boxes and ensure availability of emergency response equipment.
  • Plan and execute Safety CAPEX projects for site safety improvements.
  • Organize safety promotional activities such as National Safety Day/Week.
  • Enhance safety culture through signage, posters, and policy displays
