We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Safety Supervisor to oversee and ensure the highest standards of food safety and hygiene within our production facility. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, implementing food safety protocols, and fostering a culture of quality assurance. This position offers an opportunity to lead a team committed to delivering safe, high-quality food products to consumers.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and monitor food safety policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct regular inspections of production areas, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards or deviations from safety standards.
- Lead training sessions for staff on food safety practices, hygiene protocols, and proper handling procedures.
- Coordinate with quality assurance teams to perform audits, recordkeeping, and documentation related to food safety compliance.
- Investigate any food safety incidents or complaints, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Stay updated on current regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Collaborate with management to improve processes that enhance product safety and quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food safety management or supervision within a manufacturing or processing environment.
- Knowledge of local and international food safety standards such as HACCP, FSMA, or ISO 22000.
- Strong understanding of sanitation practices, hazard analysis, and risk management.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate staff effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for conducting inspections and audits.
- Effective communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating across departments.
- Certification in Food Safety Management (such as ServSafe Food Safety Manager Certification) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
