HSE Coordinator
Heavy Metal Equipment & RentalsWe are actively recruiting for an experienced, results-driven Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Coordinator, in our Fort McKay (Fort McMurray) location.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who will assist with the HSE administrative requirements of operations as well as earn experience in Health & Safety.

The Job
The HSE Coordinator will be expected to work 12 hours per day, on a 7-on, 7-off rotation, starting at 6:45 am. We are seeking a strong self-starter who is motived, committed and wants to grow with us.
As an HSE Coordinator YOU will
- Facilitate and perform HSE Orientations
- Perform employee badging and booking of employee required HSE training
- Work with the HSE Department to ensure training and documentation systems are maintained, training is recorded and competency requirements are completed
- Assist the implementation of the tracking and trending of the HSE statistical data
- Assist with the development and implementation of the HSE Management systems in a shop and office environment
- Prepare statistical reports and presentation material for internal and external clients
- Assist teams and managers in recognizing, controlling, minimizing and/or eliminating hazards
- Facilitate investigations and development of the corrective action plans
- Focus on maintaining and improving health, safety, environmental and quality standards, including performance of HSE audits and inspections
- Support and promote the value of the HSE system
In addition to the base salary, HSE Coordinators in the Oil Sands can look forward to:
+ 6.5% of gross earnings for hours worked
+ Commuter Supports ($1,000/month) for eligible individuals commuting to the region

What we need from YOU
- Ability to champion a strong safety culture with demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
- Experience working with oil and gas client sites and in the safety field is preferred
- Collaborative communication style with great interpersonal skills
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Strong ethics and compliance to rules and regulations
- Strong focus on attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing environments
- Ability to analyze and assess information to make appropriate recommendations
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks accordingly
As part of our Hiring Process, YOU will be asked to:
- Provide a minimum of a Class 5 Driver's License and clean Driver's Abstract
- Provide a criminal record check
- Complete drug and alcohol screening with a negative result
- Complete a fitness evaluation related specifically to your position
- Provide copies of current certifications (if you do not have any of the training required to be on site, we will provide it for you)
