Director Environment Health Safety

Judge Direct Placement is seeking a degreed EHS Director in Cincinnati, OH area! The candidate will administer all EHS programs and ensure compliance with regulatory agency guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local legislation and EHS safety codes
• Asses risk potential across the organization and ensure proper signage, guarding and protection measures are in place
• Develop internal policies and procedures
• Involved with all regulatory agencies and internal staff regarding inspections, audits, incident reports, responses, and corrective actions (e.g., OSHA, EPA, USDA, DOT, INS, CDC, etc.)
• Assist with the Process Safety Management program, including a three year audit
• Establish protocols, oversee & conduct accident investigation as well as reoccurring prevention programs & procedures
• Manage & track all safety violations and maintain necessary records
• Participate and direct Safety Committees
• Design safety & compliance training for all employees
• Monitor all current information on regulations and requirements
• Direct industrial hygiene, occupational, and general safety programs
• Work with insurance broker for annual audits conducted by the underwriter
• Work with the HR team on audits
• Work with vendors for annual inspections
• Responding and assisting in all emergency situations
• Produce quarterly EHS data
• Keep up to date safety methods and procedures

Requirements

• BS degree (Engineering, Environmental Science, or Health & Safety)
• 7+ years related experience
• 8+ years management experience
• A Certified Safety Professional is preferred
• Must be knowledgeable on OSHA and EPA
