Senior FSQA Manager

Location: Fresno or Bakersfield, CA (Onsite, relocation assistance available)

My client makes delicious beverages and snacks, very popular with health‑conscious consumers. They are looking for a Sr. FSQA Manager at their Fresno CA plant, to oversee all quality systems. Working onsite, you will be the leader in building a quality food‑safe culture, making decisions and developing food safety and quality goals for the facility.

  • Food science or microbiology degree. 5+ years of FSQA leadership experience in beverage, ideally juice.
  • $120‑140k base salary plus generous bonus potential. Salary may be higher for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities and Goals

  • Develop and maintain programs ensuring high‑quality, food‑safe products. Lead HACCP, BRC, allergen safety systems, GMPs, and SPC for process control.
  • Manage FS&Q training and food analytical testing procedures. Lead, manage, and develop direct reports in the quality department.
  • Track plant KPIs, customer complaints, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Plant Management to operationalize food safety programs.
  • Oversee the development of finished goods and raw material specifications.
  • Manage customer audits and FSSC document control processes.

Competencies Needed for Success

  • B.S. in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field.
  • 5+ years managing food safety/quality for beverage manufacturing, ideally juice. Excellent communication & leadership skills.
  • Demonstrable expertise with Global GAP, BRC & HACCP, and extensive experience with audits. Certifications preferred.
  • Root cause, SPC and lean/six sigma expertise.
  • Exceptional technology and quality systems experience.
