Health and Safety Coordinator

Parkway Enterprises is looking for a health and safety coordinator/office administrator to join our team on a one-year term. Position has the possibility of becoming permanent.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • COR program maintenance through the ACSA
  • plan and host monthly safety meetings
  • complete all new hire orientations
  • maintain company safety program (policies/procedures/SWP/etc.)
  • creation of site specific safety plans as required
  • creation of traffic accommodation strategies as required
  • creation of eco plans as required
  • monitoring and restocking office inventories as required
  • placing line locate requests
  • managing company accounts in ISN
  • reviewing daily safety paperwork and filing
  • equipment maintenance tracking/hour monitoring
  • maintaining registrations and trucking permits
  • maintaining employee training matrix
  • submitting asbestos notifications
  • maintenance of company website
  • completing and sending quotes to clients as provided by management
  • assisting company controller and management as required

Ideal applicant will

  • have at a minimum the below ACSA courses completed:
  • Auditor Training Program (with current active auditor status)
  • Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Legislation Awareness
  • Leadership for Safety Excellence
  • Principles of Health and Safety Management
  • have administrative and/or safety experience
  • have experience working with Microsoft Office
  • have time management skills
  • be a self motivated worker
  • have good communication skills
  • *Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months
