Work Schedule
Rotational schedule in a 4-2-4-3 pattern using 9-hour days. 4 day shifts, 2 days off, 4 evening shifts, 3 days off, repeat. The day shift is generally 8 am to 5 pm, and the evening shift is generally 3 pm to 12 am. The 4-2-4-3 pattern repeats every 13 weeks. Willing to discuss tweaks to the schedule, but it is important to note that rotation between day shift and evening shift, and it must be a schedule that has some amount of weekend coverage.
Compensation Range
This position offers a salary up to 90K plus solid benefits
Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) Coordinator
Role Summary
Reporting to the HSE Manager, the Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) coordinator is responsible for supporting the implementation, administration, field verification, and daily execution of the HSE management system at Heartland Sulphur Terminal (HST). This role supports the HSE Manager and terminal leadership in leading, encouraging, and enforcing a safety-focused culture through inspections, audits, training coordination, HSE documentation, records management, incident follow-up, emergency preparedness support, and routine HSE communications.
The HSE Coordinator reinforces HSE expectations in the field, identifies hazards, supports corrective actions, and helps ensure HSE systems are being followed in practice. The HSE Coordinator also supports the HSE Manager and terminal leadership in other aspects of safety systems, including orientations, PPE management, incident reporting, and training.
Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) Coordinator Primary Duties & Responsibilities include
- Maintain a strong field presence and support a safety-first culture through coaching, engagement and reinforcement of HSE expectations consistent with HSE core values.
- Support the needs and objectives of the HSE system through safety training, validation, and field engagement.
- Support KPI tracking and routine HSE reporting by gathering data, maintaining records, and escalating trends or gaps to the HSE Manager.
- Conduct or coordinate safety training, field-based learning activities, and orientations as directed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of hazard identification and mitigation tools.
- Support the HSE Manager in enforcing all aspects of the HSE management system. This includes the implementation of Life Safety Rules and policies and procedures for safe work practices.
- Conduct and document incident investigations when assigned by the HSE Manager. Ensure incidents, hazard IDs, non-compliance events, and related events are appropriately documented, tracked, and available for review.
- Maintain current and accurate SDS files for all required materials on site.
- Support the Emergency Response Plan through drill coordination, equipment readiness checks, records, and follow-up actions under the direction of the HSE Manager.
- Conduct site inspections of plant facilities on a regular basis.
- Audit Safe work permits, FLHA, fall protection plans and energy isolations
- Assist in developing routine HSE communications, HSE bulletins, incident reviews, meeting materials, and awareness messaging.
- Support review and maintenance of plant operating procedures and training materials to help ensure alignment with the HSE Management program.
- Ensure the company's onsite safety library is complete and updated regularly.
- Maintain training records, track qualification status, and follow up on overdue training or competency requirements.
