Pay Rate - $96-$105/hr on W2
We are seeking a Site Loss Control Specialist to drive construction safety excellence and support our Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP). This is a hands-on role that ensures safety, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation are embedded into every phase of construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for all construction tasks.
- Collaborate closely with project teams and contractors to achieve zero incidents.
- Provide guidance on effective site safety methodologies, including hazard mitigation, permits, and safe work practices.
- Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with the ICM loss control team to ensure OCIP compliance and adherence to minimum safety standards.
- Assist in on-site safety training, toolbox talks, and mentoring of personnel.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to advance safety initiatives across teams.
- Integrate seamlessly into construction sequencing to deliver best-in-class safety performance.
- Manage OCIP functions and maintain safety program documentation.
- Travel to project sites as needed (up to 30%).
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of construction safety experience on large-scale projects.
- Experience in Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) environments.
- Proven track record implementing Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs.
- Experience partnering effectively with project teams and contractors.
- Industry knowledge of technical electrical and mechanical systems in data center construction.
- Familiarity with design-build processes, contracts, and construction documentation.
- Experience with ground-up construction, greenfield development, and retrofit projects in mission-critical or occupied environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
- Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) through BCSP.
- OSHA 500 certification.
- Experience with high-voltage systems, mechanical systems, and large-scale construction operations.
- Ability to lead safety culture in fast-paced, high-stakes construction projects.
