A growing manufacturing organization is looking for a Health, Safety & Wellness (HSW) Specialist to lead safety initiatives across its facility and project sites. About the Role
You’ll be the driving force behind the company’s safety culture—supporting the Joint Health & Safety Committee, strengthening the Health & Safety Management system, and ensuring employees and contractors work safely every day. This role blends hands‑on site work, technical compliance, training, and strategic influence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Job Safety Analysis (JSA), risk assessments, and hazard evaluations Conduct shop and job‑site inspections to verify controls and compliance Oversee legislated equipment inspections and subcontractor safety performance Participate in design reviews to identify and eliminate risks early Maintain HSE platforms (ISNetworld®, Contractor Compliance, Cognibox) Lead incident investigations and root‑cause analysis Deliver safety and wellness training across the organization Promote a proactive, collaborative “Safety First” culture
What You Bring
Education in Occupational Health & Safety or a related technical field 3–5 years of HSE experience in manufacturing, construction, or heavy industry Strong knowledge of OH&S legislation Ability to influence and communicate across all levels Valid driver’s license and ability to travel (approx. 20%) CRSP or NCSO designation is an asset Opportunity to work on high‑profile ICI mechanical projects
