Division Safety Manager
SRM360SRM Concrete is seeking an experienced Division Safety Manager to lead and execute safety initiatives across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Wichita Falls, Willow Park, and throughout Arkansas, partnering closely with operations and senior safety leadership to uphold company-wide safety standards. This role serves as the primary safety resource for regional leadership, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, driving risk mitigation efforts, conducting audits and investigations, and delivering hands-on training and coaching to plant and field teams. The ideal candidate is a proactive, field-focused leader with strong regulatory knowledge and a proven ability to foster a positive, best-in-class safety culture across these markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with the Chief Safety Officer on strategic planning, policy development, and high-level incident command.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of regional Safety Managers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring consistency in safety program execution.
- Develop, implement, and refine corporate safety policies and procedures in alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure enterprise-wide compliance with all applicable FMCSA, OSHA, and MSHA regulations.
- Provide senior oversight for all safety audits and lead investigations into significant incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Analyze safety metrics and incident data to identify trends, measure performance, and develop proactive risk-reduction strategies.
- Act as the primary safety consultant for large commercial projects, collaborating with operations to manage complex safety challenges.
- Partner with executive leadership to champion a culture where safety is a core value and integral to all operations.
- Travel frequently to various regions and job sites to provide leadership, support, and hands-on guidance.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications.
- Expert-level knowledge of and experience with FMCSA and OSHA regulations.
- Extensive, verifiable experience managing safety on large commercial construction projects.
- Proven track record of conducting and leading high-level safety audits and incident investigations.
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role, managing a team of safety professionals.
- Must have the ability and willingness to travel frequently to project sites and regional offices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus)
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Previous safety experience in the ready-mix concrete or construction materials industry.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other advanced safety certifications.
Physical Requirements
- Capable of conducting inspections at active concrete plants, mines, and construction sites.
- Comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
