We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Safety Manager to lead our organization’s health, safety, and environmental initiatives. The candidate MUST BE BCSP CERTIFIED. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs that promote a secure and compliant workplace environment.
Your expertise will ensure that all operations adhere to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards, EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations, and other relevant safety laws. You will champion a culture of safety awareness, conduct training sessions, and lead investigations to prevent accidents and injuries. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies aligned with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments within manufacturing environments and other operational areas.
- Lead incident investigations by performing root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Design and deliver engaging training programs on occupational health, first aid, CPR, workers' compensation law, and EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) best practices.
- Maintain accurate report writing for incidents, inspections, audits, and safety compliance documentation.
- Coordinate emergency response procedures and ensure all team members are trained in first aid and CPR techniques.
- Stay current with evolving safety laws and industry standards to continuously improve safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing or industrial settings with a strong understanding of occupational health and safety principles.
- Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation law, EPA standards, and EHS practices.
- Prior experience conducting training & development sessions related to workplace safety.
- Familiarity with report writing for incident documentation and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, OSHA Safety Certification, or equivalent are highly preferred.
