Role Description

SJGHEL is seeking a forward thinking Director, People and Information Systems who will champion the development of a high performing resilient and people centered organization. In this leadership role, you will guide a diverse portfolio of functions; including human resources, occupational health, staffing, volunteer services, information technology, privacy, health records, and admitting/switchboard to ensure they are seamlessly aligned with the hospital’s mission, values and long-term priorities. You will cultivate a safe, supportive and sustainable workforce, strengthen organizational culture, advance digital transformation, and uphold the highest standards of regulatory compliance and information stewardship.

This role works under the general direction of the Vice President, People, Strategy, and Corporate Services & Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). As the Director you will promote the integration of cross-functional systems to enhance employee and patient experience and champion continuous improvement that supports clinical care and the hospital’s strategic priorities.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. A current designation as a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) or Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and membership to HRPA is required, or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. The successful candidate will also have seven to ten years of progressive leadership experience working within a multi-union organization, preferably in a healthcare environment.
