Construction Health and Safety Manager required to join a well-established construction consultancy. You will represent the client and support the team in overseeing the implementation of Health and Safety management across a major design and build construction site in Bedfordshire.

Construction Health and Safety Manager duties include:

  • Ensuring client compliance with statutory Health and Safety requirements.
  • Strengthening construction safety practices through active on-site involvement.
  • Supporting the development of project-specific safety programmes as needed.
  • Identifying and managing high-risk activities across all project stages.
  • Establishing clear Health and Safety reporting and communication processes.
  • Engaging in day-to-day Health and Safety management activities.
  • Conducting independent Health and Safety audits on all aspects of construction management.

Qualifications

  • You will ideally hold CertIOSH or equivalent and be supported to gain CMIOSH status.
  • Progressing with further safety qualifications, with Diploma level already attained.

Experience

  • Demonstrable experience providing client-side health and safety services within the construction or property industry preferred.
  • Experience working under the CDM Regulations, carrying out roles such as CDM Advisor.
  • Working knowledge of large scale/complex projects.

This Construction Health and Safety Manager role is based on-site in Bedfordshire. The salary is up to £65,000 depending on experience, plus a full benefits package including car allowance, healthcare, pension and a generous holiday allowance with the option to purchase up to five additional days
