Safety Director
The Hillis Group LLCJob Overview The Hillis Group, LLC is seeking an experienced and driven Safety Director to lead and manage all aspects of our safety program. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving company-wide safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting a strong safety culture across all job sites.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute robust safety policies aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards, NEC (National Electrical Code), and other regulatory requirements.
- Lead risk management efforts by identifying hazards, conducting site inspections, and implementing preventative measures to minimize incidents.
- Coordinate occupational health initiatives to promote worker well-being, including ergonomic assessments and health screenings.
- Manage workers’ compensation claims efficiently and investigate incidents thoroughly to prevent recurrence.
- Provide training sessions on EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) protocols, OSHA regulations, and construction site safety best practices for all staff and contractors.
- Manage and maintain Veriforce systems and documentation
- Oversee and administer Operator Qualification (OQ) programs, including tracking, evaluations, and compliance.
- Conduct regular job site walk-throughs, safety audits, and inspections.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions using root cause analysis.
- Maintain accurate safety records, logs, and reports.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong focus on safety oversight on active construction sites.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, NEC standards, workers’ compensation processes, and compliance management practices.
- Demonstrated expertise in risk management strategies tailored to construction environments.
- Familiarity with occupational health principles and EHS programs designed to enhance worker safety and well-being.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead training sessions and collaborate effectively across teams.
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
