The Opportunity

Judge Direct Placement is partnering with a leadingManufacturingcompany in theGreater Salisbury, MDarea to find an experiencedSafety Manager. This critical role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining all plant safety programs to ensure a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive plant safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with OSHA and all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular facility inspections, hazard analyses, and risk assessments to identify potential safety issues and implement corrective actions.
• Lead accident investigations to determine root causes and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
• Manage the worker's compensation program, focusing on minimizing claims and ensuring effective return-to-work protocols.
• Develop and deliver effective safety training programs for all employees, supervisors, and new hires.
• Track and analyze safety metrics (e.g., TRIR, DART) and report findings to plant and corporate leadership.
• Promote and foster a proactive, engaged safety culture throughout the entire facility.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ yearsof progressive experience in an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) or Safety Management role within aManufacturingenvironment.
• Demonstrated knowledge ofOSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
• Proven ability to lead, influence, and drive change regarding safety practices.
• CSP/ASP certification is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and comfort training large groups.
