  • *Part-Time Health & Safety Advisor**

Train Energy is currently seeking a Part-Time Health and Safety Advisor to our employees at the Wolf Feedstock Separation (WFS) Facility in Sturgeon County, Alberta.

The position is part-time, with 80% of the work being boots on the ground in the field and 20% office based. We're looking for a certified professional who is passionate about safety leadership, mentoring, and front-line engagement.

  • *Key Responsibilities**:

Ø Lead by example in the field by promoting and reinforcing safe work practices and a strong safety culture

Ø Mentor and coach workers on hazard awareness, proper use of PPE, safe work procedures, and field-level hazard assessments

Ø Conduct site inspections and proactively identify and mitigate hazards before they lead to incidents

Ø Support and participate in safety meetings, and job hazard analysis (JHAs) with crews

Ø Assist supervisors and workers with the interpretation and implementation of health and safety policies, procedures, and OH&S regulations

Ø Perform incident investigations and root cause analysis when required, and assist with corrective action tracking

Ø Ensure all required safety documentation (e.g., Tailgates, and FLHA’s) are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner

Ø Collaborate with operations and contractors to maintain compliance and improve safety performance across site activities

Ø Report observations, findings, and trends to the Corporate HSE Manager, providing practical recommendations for continuous improvement

Ø Support emergency response readiness through drills, field coordination, and participation in response planning

  • *Requirements**:

Ø NCSO certification (National Construction Safety Officer) - required

Ø Minimum 2 years of field safety experience

Ø Strong understanding of Alberta OH&S legislation and industry best practices

Ø Must have a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license

Ø Excellent communication and leadership skills
