Urban Life Solutions and City Wide Towing are seeking a Health & Safety Manager to ensure our 350 team members go home safe every day. You will be responsible for overall management and leadership of H&S programs in Western Canada and achieving targeted business outputs and improvement levels.

Responsibilities
- Create and implement workplace health and safety plans, training programs and procedures
- Evaluate health and safety practice and procedures for risk assessment and following legal guidelines
- Monitor employee and equipment for unsafe workplace conditions
- Investigate incidents to find cause and take prevention measures for further incidents
- Handle worker's compensation claims and liaison with WCB
- Recommend solutions, improvements, and prevention steps for safety issues
- Report on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics
- Ongoing maintenance of compliance portals (ex. ComplyWorks).
- Schedule and prepare the Company for COR audits
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Safety, Occupational Health or related field, preferred or CSP/CRSP certification.
- 8+ years’ experience in health & safety
- 3+ years managing people
- Strong knowledge of H&S management systems, their implementation & improvement within a field setting,
- Experience managing WCB claims
- Certification in at least one health & safety auditors’ program; experience performing COR audits
- Ability to travel 20% to support multiple locations
- Transportation industry experience an asset
- Valid First Aid, working at heights, Joint health and safety committee certifications are an asset
- Knowledge or experience with Hours of Service, E-Logs, Load Securement and TDG

· The base salary offered will be based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies, while also considering internal equity.

Pay: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
