California Licensed Functional Safety Manager

A company is looking for a Senior Functional Safety Manager for Autonomous Vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

Lead safety engineering processes to comply with ISO 26262, ISO 21448, and ISO 8800 standards

Promote a positive safety culture through training and mentoring

Act as the primary contact for safety-related concerns during development and collaborate with partners on safety engineering efforts

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred

At least 8 years of experience in automotive development and integration for safety-related systems

Deep understanding of functional safety and ISO 26262 processes

Familiarity with quality systems and tools, such as Automotive SPICE and IATF 16949

Experience with system safety methodologies, including FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, and CPA
