HOW YOU CONTRIBUTE TO OUR WORLD Reporting to the Supervisor – Prevention, you will play a key role in supporting employees, managers and contractors in the application of good health and safety practices. You will contribute to strengthening the culture of prevention through listening, collaboration and the implementation of concrete and sustainable solutions. Accompany and support the teams in the application of prevention procedures, programs and policies.
Coach and advise supervisors and managers in their daily health and safety responsibilities in order to equip them to properly integrate requirements into the planning and execution of their activities.
Participate in the updating and creation of health and safety procedures, programs and processes and develop action plans for their implementation in the field in collaboration with stakeholders.
Analyze health and safety needs, submit recommendations and follow up on action plans.
Raise awareness among staff and contractors through your interventions and field leadership.
Hold a certificate in occupational health and safety management or a college diploma in Environment, Occupational Health and Safety. Any other relevant academic training will also be considered.
Master the laws and regulations governing occupational health and safety.
Have completed modular training (FMTM) 1,2,3,4,5 and 7 and hold a general explosives permit (asset)
