Seeking an Experienced Triple Certified Officer for our Newly Created 48/96 Shift.

SUMMARY OF JOB

Under the general supervision of the Director of Public Safety, the Public Safety Officer performs a wide variety of public safety duties to include police, law enforcement, fire prevention, fire suppression, rescue duties and perform as firefighter/EMT. This includes providing public protection services on a routine basis; arbitrating disputes; protecting and recovering property; and patrolling the City of Ferris to prevent, detect and investigate criminal violations of federal, state and local laws. Additionally, Ferris DPS Officer is responsible for performing public safety work involving the protection of life and property by engaging in firefighting and using Emergency Medical Services skills. In addition, the DPS Officer may engage in fire code enforcement, public education, and station equipment maintenance. The DPS Officer performs related work as required or assigned.
