Excel Society is looking for a strategic and hands-on Health & Safety Manager to lead and evolve our organization-wide safety program. If you are energized by creating a proactive safety culture, influencing leaders, and driving continuous improvement — this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Excel Society Health & Safety Program.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and wellness through proactive engagement and coaching of supervisors and employees.
- Oversee the development, delivery, and maintenance of safety training programs, including new‑hire orientation and refresher training for all employees.
- Support supervisors in conducting and reviewing site‑specific hazard analyses and ensuring safe work procedures are current.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments and recommend corrective actions to reduce workplace risks.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and departmental audits.
- Monitor safety performance indicators, analyze trends, and recommend improvements to reduce risk exposure.
- Co-chair the Joint Health & Safety Committee; prepare agendas, minutes, and follow up actions to ensure timely resolution of safety concerns.
What We’re Looking For
- University Degree specializing in Health & Safety.
- Minimum five years of progressive experience leading or managing health and safety programs.
- Knowledge of current legislation, Codes of Practice, and other safe work practices, including relevant requirements and recommendations.
- Proven ability to build strong partnerships, influence change, and provide credible advice across all levels.
- Energetic, self motivated, creative, positive outlook, effective communication, organized, effective planning, and people skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant digital tools.
- Valid Driver’s license; ability to travel between Excel Sites are required.
- Satisfactory criminal record check.
