HSE Advisor

Giusti Group – Calgary, AB

We are actively recruiting for a, results-driven, Health Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor that is motivated, committed and wants to grow with us.

The HSE Advisor will mentor workers and ensure adherence to Giusti Group’s HSE program and client policies, processes and procedures.

What we need from you

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in OH&S
• National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation through the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA)
• Experience in Concrete construction
• Engagement in field operations and observations
• Excellent knowledge of OH&S legislation and procedures
• Ability to understand and contribute to the development of Safe Work Practices, Policies and Procedures
• Extensive knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, Workers Compensation Board, as well as related Federal, Provincial and Municipal regulations and legislations
• Experience in developing SWP, JHA, HAA
• Ability to work independently with significant initiative
• Ability to use systems, tools and organizational skills to work independently, organize workload and set priorities appropriately
• Allow for flexibility to meet constantly changing and challenging deadlines
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Office, including Excel and Word) are essential
• Work schedule: Mon-Fri 7am to 5pm, every 3rd Saturday 7am - 11am

Additional Assets

• Experience with ComplyWorks, Salus Pro
• Experience with vertical concrete construction
• Train the trainer certificate for: forklift & fall protection
