Health and Safety Specialist (PM Shifts)

Our client is searching for a EH&S Specialist. The shift for this role is 3pm–1130pm Mon-Fri. This EHS Specialist role is based in a manufacturing environment and focuses on promoting a safe and compliant workplace. Key responsibilities include delivering onboarding safety orientations and managing Workers Compensation (WCB) claims. The role also involves conducting incident investigations, supporting audits, and mentoring staff on hazard assessments.

Your success will be defined by your ability to

• Deliver new hire safety orientations and refresher sessions.
• Lead workplace injury investigations, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate Workers Compensation (WCB) claims.
• Contribute to updating safety procedures, policies, and documentation (SOPs, risk assessments, emergency plans).

Your strengths include

• Diploma or certificate program in occupational health and safety or a related discipline
• Working toward or holding certification such as NCSO, MSO, MSA or equivalent is an asset.
• COR audit experience, Experience managing WCB claims
• 5 years of HSE experience in a facility / operations role
