Tutor Perini O&G, a joint venture, is seeking a Safety Manager to join the Newark AirTrain project team at Newark International Airport. The Safety Manager position focuses on upholding strict health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the construction process. This role implements and maintains company policies compliant with local, state, and federal regulations. Responsibilities include overseeing safe design and development of facilities, work areas, and procedures while recommending safety enhancements where necessary. The Safety Manager works closely with project teams and owners to ensure adherence to contract specifications and regulatory requirements. Training assessment and implementation are critical components, ensuring all personnel, including subcontractors, meet mandated safety training requirements. Additionally, the Safety Manager manages safety documentation, incident reporting, and safety equipment procurement.

The role is pivotal in maintaining a safe jobsite by conducting daily inspections and addressing safety issues proactively. This requires thorough knowledge of transit safety certification processes and airport work zone regulations. The candidate will help foster a culture of safety by conducting orientations, safety meetings, and compliance monitoring.
