As the Director of Compliance & Safety at Acosta Group, you will serve as a senior leader responsible for the strategic oversight of our organizational integrity and physical security protocols. This role demands a high level of autonomy to architect and maintain safety initiatives that align with industry best practices while fostering a robust culture of ethics. You will bridge the gap between regulatory requirements and daily operations, ensuring that every business unit operates with a "safety-first" mindset and adheres to the highest standards of corporate conduct.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience within the consumer goods or retail brokerage sectors.
- Minimum of seven years of leadership experience managing comprehensive occupational safety and compliance frameworks.
- Deep expertise in OSHA, DOT, and DOL regulations, as well as state-specific workers' compensation requirements.
- Proven track record in designing and deploying training programs for accident prevention and emergency threat response.
- Sophisticated communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and build relationships across diverse business units.
- Analytical mindset capable of interpreting complex legal documents, insurance policies, and regulatory trends.
- Proficiency in Windows-based environments, including Excel, database management, and claims systems.
- Physical ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs and a willingness to travel as required by the business.

Responsibilities
- Direct the evaluation of existing safety protocols across key facilities to identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Lead the development and execution of safety guidance for both chronic workplace issues and imminent threat scenarios.
- Oversee all internal and external audits, serving as the primary point of contact for agencies like OSHA and DOT.
- Regularly update the corporate Code of Conduct and operationalize compliance policies through systematic monitoring.
- Monitor the evolving legal and regulatory landscape to calibrate ethics programs against current enforcement trends.
- Act as a thought leader to drive continuous improvement in safety devices, equipment standards, and compliance controls.
- Provide transparent reporting and tracking of all ethics and compliance activities to senior leadership.
- Champion the company’s core values by integrating ethical standards into the fabric of daily business operations.
