Role Description

This is a part-time role for a Health and Safety Consultant (Contractor) at AKN Safety Services, 1-3 days per week, based on experience. The role is hybrid and based in Edmonton, AB, with the flexibility for some travel. The consultant will be responsible for conducting health and safety assessments, developing and implementing Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems, delivering training sessions, and ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and experience in Health & Safety and Occupational Health
• Practical experience and understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) principles
• Capability to design and deliver effective HSE Management Systems and Training programs
• Attention to detail and ability to identify workplace risks
• Excellent communication and advisory skills
• Experience in consulting or working across a range of industries is a plus
• Proficiency in preparing detailed reports and maintaining regulatory documentation
