- Develop and enforce the Project HSE Management Plan in accordance with hyperscale data center safety standards, client-specific HSE requirements, local regulations, and international best practices (e.g. ISO 45001).
- Act as the PMC’s HSE authority on site, overseeing and governing all EPC contractors, trade partners, and subcontractors to ensure full compliance with hyperscale client safety expectations.
- Review, approve, and control high-risk work permits and method statements, including critical activities such as heavy lifting, energized works, confined spaces, work at height, and complex MEP installations.
- Lead proactive risk identification and mitigation, conducting regular safety walks, audits, and behavioral safety observations to eliminate hazards before incidents occur.
- Ensure strict adherence to Life Safety Rules (LSR) commonly mandated by hyperscale clients, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, crane operations, and lifting procedures.
- Manage incident, near‑miss, and unsafe condition reporting, leading root cause analysis (RCA) and ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented and tracked to closure.
- Coordinate closely with the client’s global HSE team, PMC leadership, and site management to maintain alignment with hyperscale governance, reporting standards, and approval workflows.
- Drive safety leadership and culture across the project, delivering toolbox talks, inductions, training programs, and safety campaigns that align with hyperscale client expectations.
- Monitor and control safety performance KPIs, including TRIR, LTIFR, audit findings, and safety observations, and prepare detailed reports for PMC and client review.
- Ensure readiness for client audits and regulatory inspections, maintaining complete HSE documentation and supporting zero‑incident objectives throughout the construction lifecycle.
