About the position

The EHS Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs within the organization. This role ensures compliance with applicable regulations and standards, leading initiatives to promote a safe and healthy work environment while minimizing environmental impact.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of facilities to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement in safety and environmental practices.
  • Lead training sessions for employees on EHS protocols, emergency response, and safe work practices.
  • Coordinate with various departments to integrate EHS considerations into their operations and decision-making processes.
  • Manage environmental permits, including Title V, air permitting, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee wastewater and stormwater management programs, ensuring compliance with EPA regulations.
  • Respond to and manage EHS incidents, conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.
  • Experience with facility management and building maintenance practices.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Title V, air permitting, and wastewater management is a plus.
