Health & Safety Engineer
SoucyMission Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Health and Safety Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing prevention strategies while coordinating key OHS projects.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to:
Coordinate various health and safety projects targeted within the strategic and operational plan
Promote an OHS culture across all operations and coordinate prevention activities
Conduct risk analyses of equipment and operations, as well as ergonomic analyses, and propose engineering solutions to control them Deploy a program to adapt to health and safety laws, standards, and regulations and ensure they are enforced
Provide technical expertise in the implementation of prevention solutions
Support teams in the deployment of various OHS directives
Provide support during investigations and analysis of accidental events in order to identify root causes, corrective actions, and follow-ups Support operations for training related to health and safety

Profile With the following skills and qualities, you will be successful in this role:
University degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or industrial) recognized in Quebec (Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs or CPI)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in OHS within a manufacturing company
Very good knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and standards
Autonomy; the candidate is able to take charge of entire projects and follow through on them
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
Able to create and maintain good relationships with employees
Good influencing skills
Good planning and analytical skills
Good time and priority management skills
Results-oriented and focused on problem solving
